KTR is sending deep condolences to the Turkisn trade unions
In relation to the terrorist act that happened Octobet, 10th in Ankara, the president of the Confederation of Labour of Russia (KTR) Boris Kravchenko sent an appeal to the leaders of the Confederation of Public Service Unions of Turkey (KESK) and the Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (DISK).

Vnukovo airport's air traffic controller released from custody
On 22 September, Alexander Kruglov, an air controller, Svetlana Krivsun, a trainee of the air control department, and Roman Dunayev, the chief of flights at Vnukovo have been released as the maximum allowable term for keeping them in custody has expired.

Three Russian pilots have been freed from jail
In January 2014, at the request of the Confederation of Labour of Russia (KTR) and the pilots union at Aeroflot (ShPLS), the LabourStart launched an online campaign demanding the release of jailed union leaders Alexei Shlyapnokov, Valeriy Pimoshenko and Sergei Knyshov, and the ITF Civil Aviation Section supported this campaign.
This week, the court of appeals overturned their sentences and all three were sent home. They are under a kind of house arrest, and there will be a new trial.

Zhanaozen Solidarity campaign brings results
The international campaign in solidarity with imprisoned oil workers in Kazakhstan has delivered results. The campaign, supported by the IUF, IndustriAll, the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Kazakhstan and the Association for Human Rights in Central Asia. Within three months of the campaign launch over 11,400 letters were sent through LabourStart from around the world to Kazakhstan diplomatic missions, demanding freedom for the imprisoned oil workers. The on-line campaign was backed up by formal protest letters from union organizations, pickets in front of consulates and diplomatic missions and public debates at various international forums.

TUC joins global union protests at harassment of Aeroflot pilots' union
As part of a global ITUC campaign, TUC General Secretary Frances O'Grady has sent the following letter to the Russian Ambassador in London. The TUC is also supporting a LabourStart action aimed at Aeroflot executives.
